Hi all, I would appreciate your thoughts on this SS Boker please. The grip has a big chip and splits and the blade looks a bit rough. The SS runes look a little 'fat' to me but I know they do vary. Any help much appreciated as always. Wendy www.simplydaggers.co.uk

Not the best condition of course, but it looks original. A lot of different rune styles are found on Bokers. Here is one similar to yours.

I concur with Skyline. This Boker however is not in a collector quality piece. They do come up in better condition. This one is a "beater" thats been polished. Although original. -Wagner-

Where to start ?
- Repainted scabbard - Bottom scab screws not correct - Top scab screws missing and holes filled in
- Entire Dagger highly polished or buffed - Grip badly cracked - Blade has been badly rusted

- Repainted scabbard... probably. - Bottom scab screws not correct... photos inconclusive. It looks like the screws are not entirely screwed in. - Top scab screws missing and holes filled in... photos inconclusive. It's possible the heads are broken off. - Entire Dagger highly polished or buffed... just the blade, not the entire dagger. - Grip badly cracked... it's got cracks alright. A lot of them do. The big chip is the most distracting. - Blade has been badly rusted... well perhaps. It is pitted and someone attempted to buff it out. If the question is "is it original" then the answer it yes, with the exception of the paint on the scabbard and possibly the scabbard screws. If the question is "what do you think about the condition" then the answer is "pass".

Thanks for all your help. The owner of this is from the States and I buy many items from him but he is keeping this one for himself and intends to have it restored. Best wishes, Wendy www.simplydaggers.co.uk
