This is the only photo I have. I should have the tunic in hand in a day or two. The ribbons don't seem appropriate for the tunic, but who knows? Could have been added later. Would appreciate opinions on the authenticity of the tunic.

Thanks for the comments so far. I have the tunic in hand, along with a pair of riding breeches that came with it. There are no tags in either. The only ink-stamp I can see is in the breeches. What appears to be a very faint "43." Both pass the "burn" and black light tests. The tunic shows wear and sweat stains to the inside. The buttons are barely holding on. I don't think there's any doubt the shoulder strap buttons were replaced at some point with silver-finished ones. The ribbon bar is pinned through. The wound badge is attached by two loops. The tunic shows definite signs of tailoring. I have quite a few additional photos.

Sleeve eagle. Would note the holes for the belt ramps are hand-stitched. Can take more photos, if needed. Thanks.

Agree - the SS collar tab is fake. I'll let others discuss the rest.

This is definetly a repro. Look at the buttonholes, there cut after stiching, german buttonholemachine used to cut teh "keyhole" before stitching. Add the fact your collar shape is wrong as well as its construction...

The interior of the jacket is also incorrect for an M43... insignia is bad. I'd walk away from this one.

What will become of this tunic. I cannot afford to spend $5000 on a tunic and would love to have something like this to display. I learn so much from reading the posts about originality. Harry

Grumpy,
I hope there is a great return policy. I think the only original parts might be the wound badge and the 2nd class ribbon.
