I'm sorry about this constant question - but I have to ask the experts.

Is this a good or a BAD 1st type decal - and how come a 1st type sits on a SD ???

Thank you for your answers !!!

Jesper

Looks like a Q decal on a Q helmet. So far so good.

I would ask the seller a photo of the decal side (entire helmet) taken in the same room.

You don't see these 2000$ SS helmets a lot Wink

And it looks like he knows what he's talking about.

I KNEW it was dangerous to post a good helmet here - now EVERYBODY will hunt this piece - and it MIGHT cost a member some money Roll Eyes

Well - guess those are the rules Roll Eyes

He is refering to German Helmet Walhalla. This helmet is being discussed - and negatively at that. Just goes to show that not all opinions are the same. Apparently there are issues with the seller so proceed with caution.

I must admit it DOES smell nasty.

ZERO feedback, "strange" email address - and:

I asked the seller for a picture of the entire left side of the helmet - got no picture.

I asked the seller if the helmet could be picked up personally - got no answer.

Could turn out to be a NASTY deal Frown

PS: NICE Feldherrnhalle helmet, Darryl !!!

The decal is like Darryl says an original Q decal.

But as of yet I have not seen THAT decal on the helmet. Just a photo of A decal.

Yes, be very careful. This sounds like it may be a lure to get a lot of money from someone. The helmet is real but...does the seller actually have it??? Smells fishy.

PS - thanks Jesper...it's my newest acquisition.

Darryl,
It appears to be a really beautiful example of a very rare helmet. Would you be so kind as to post some good close up photos?
Cheers,
-Mike

Gentlemen,

The auction is a scam!!!

The guy stole the pictures from Ken N.SS reference pictures.

I posted as to let people know about the scam in GHW.

For comparison:

The one to the left is from Kens site. The one to the right is the picture I got.

Clearly the same decal. I good display of how internet pictures can lead to doubt. Ken's picture is one looker while the ebay seller's decal of the same picture either done on purpose or not could lead to some question the way it looks IMO.
