Your knot appears to be the correct one for an EM/NCO SS sword. I would like to see a side view. Jim

Sorry, but the knot is a reproduction. The runes are crude and touch one another. The material on which they are embroidered is too heavily ribbed. These have been around several years now. I am attaching a scan of a genuine knot for comparison. Wish I could be the bearer of good news.

Grumpy nearly said it all. I would like to add that this fake (shown by Stra�burger) obviously is artificially aged to let it look more convincing. Nevertheless a fake..
