I have seen a period army board with a glass/resin pip. if it wasn't broken in half so you could see in, you wouldn't have known.

The guy I'd got this from said the pips were officer grade made by special contract. Missing the silver rank line though.

I may have an opportunity to get first crack at some ss goodies when they come up. Just got a contact in the States and Europe who can watch out for this stuff. Don't mind posting on here but if anyone's interested individually let me know via e-mail. [email protected]. Wouldn't mind using your expertise to verify and some articles may be out of my price range so..... If not I'll just post on here.

RCL, very interesting. Just bought a rank tab this wk.end at the MAX. Hadn't heard of them, but this looked "right", plus ran it buy several of the guys in the know on this sight! Can't get an image of your tab. Did you post it? thanks, blkbear1

Just got your images. They match my glass pips, although, the ones on mine look newer- ie, more paint on them, but the same "beefy"- high profile type with rather soft, non-magnetic attachments on back. Glad to hear from our mediator that they are the real deal~ Would like to see more threads regarding these if anyone knows of same. blkbear1

RCL,
You have a unusable email address in your public profile. Our rules require that you display a function email address for all to see. Please go into your profile and change it.
Secondly, if those pictures are from a dealer's site, you are obliged under our rules to say where you got them.

Posted my e-mail per request. Not a dealer's site. Unless you consider posting on e-bay a dealer. I've made some personal connections through e-bay now and in the past for certain items I was looking for. The ones I've been dealing with seem pretty reliable and have asked if I'd like to be informed if they come across items of interest. There are a lot of scammers but some are actually legit. Got the pip tab for $60.00 (seemed like a good price to me but I could be wrong).

Thanks, RCL,
As far as I'm concerned it is OK to post pics or links from eBay.
The only exception is that members cannot post links their own items on eBay.

Thanks Dave. Love the forum. Wouldn't want to do anything to go against the rules.
