Hello Hakan, these are referred to as "swallow's nests" They were worn on the shoulders of the uniform by musicians/band members. Can't help with value. Hope this helps! Regards, Leizpig

The nice thing is that these have the long fringe of the Drum major. Most of the rest of the band wore them without. They may also be SS, which would obviously increase the value.

Haken,,,Those are a nice set of Allgemeine SS- swallows nests and also rare! Mr Jerry is correct, these silvered tasssled items were worn by a drum major or even the bandleader/mace thrower at the head of the ensemble. The cotton platted ones were for the drum corp and the ones without tasseles were for other members of the band ensemble,, Price is difficult, just depends on how much the collector wants to pay,,,Here is my Luft bandleaders for a comparison,,, Stephen

HAKAN81:THE MEMBERS HAVE 100% SPOTTED THEM AS SS DRUM MAJORS SWALLOW TAILS.I SAW A PAIR OF SS MUSIANS SWALLOWTRAILS(NOT WITH FRINGE)GOING FOR $1,600.THIS DOESN'T MEAN THEY WENT FOR THAT.YOURS ARE QUITE RARE AND COULD SEE $2,000 FOR THEM.JUST MY OPINION.CARL D.
