Here is an interesting twin by Knecht RZM M7/11:
Knifes are almost indentical except for the non magnetic hilts: the company must have been experimenting with different steel replacements.

I have an early thin blade version by Knecht.

Herman, IMO Knecht is a fine maker. Here's a quality carving set by them. Note the sharpener is by F.Dick. Hope you like it. -serge-  +-

Thanks Herman. It's getting hard to find decent early HJ's at I price I'm comfortable paying anymore. The carving set, I'm guessing here, is around 1936 to 1939 period. Mainly by the style and construction of the box, history of Knecht co, and markings. Knecht, as you know, also made SA's. The early examples are of excellent quality and fit. Regards, -serge-

Hello Serge,
Another nice Knecht & co piece you show here: the SA. Are you focussing on this maker in your collection?
That is great if the carving set is from the 1930ties. Do you ever use them to serv "wild" (hunted) meat? The stag grips are impressive, the blade has an etching so it seems. Where did you find this set? Would be interesting to see more of it.

Yes, I like this small firm.
They did not produce a lot. 1. some cutlery. (example shown) 2. HJ knives. 3.Early SA and a 1939 transitional SA. 4. NSKK
I am not aware what, if anything, they produced post war.
Will need to retake the photos on the blade etch will post later. It was an e-ban find.

Great pieces. Knecht made bayonets too, at least one of them  I've never seen one of their bayonets before, either FW type or plain KS98.
