Waffen SS M-42sd, ckl64, 1943-dated liner. Not in the best shape though eminently presentable. Another �box on the doorstep� thread just didn�t seem appropriate for this helmet as it really isn't sufficiently special. In 1993 the helmet came out of Allentown, PA from a fellow who had owned it for over 40 years previous. Cody

cody you the man i think you have a time machine in your backyard and every now and then you hop in it and pop back and visit the third reich. your helmet collection must be outstanding a true history lesson in itself. wondered if you could post your collection here as im sure many members would drool over it. when your next in your time machine could you put in a good word to the chalncery and see if they would let me have a couple

Hi. Cody! That's a nice untouched combat helmet. Certainly, it's not the rarest but a good textbook SS M42 - a standard equipment for the SS regulars who fought the Allies toward the end of the war. Somehow, I prefer a combat worn piece to a mint one for the SS M42s. You feel the sense of history, kind of, y'know.
