Haven`t seen one recently Rich but you know how it is these days. With SA`s running so high daggers like that will fetch whatever anyone is dumb enough to pay for them. If someone had told me just a couple of years ago that an NSKK chained would be touching 6K I would not have believed it. The weak dollar doesn`t help either! Foreign buyers can probably absorb the dealer hikes somewhat easier. Unfortunately I`m not collecting any more so can`t take advantage of it. Actually when I consider it, with the almost universal values for this stuff being in USD the weak dollar hasn`t done me any favours at all. I`ve seen 20% knocked off the value of my collection. Contrary to most opinion, in relative terms my collection would now be worth less than I paid for it. Investment material? I don`t think so!
I didn`t collect to speculate so no biggie at all. I like what I have.. just can`t afford to play any more.

I believe that the internet and on line web sites play some part in prices rising, as soon as something sells for 100 or so more than the going price, all the on line dealers mark their stuff up accordingly.

I agree with you Ryan ..Whenever you buy from Main Stream Dealers , Top prices are paid. The problem is , many Collectors either don't know how to "Beat the Bushes" or they are too lazy to search for the deals and then they complain about how high todays prices are. I just bought an Army Dagger yesterday at a local Yard Sale for $50 ..not a big deal but , all I had to do was stop and ask. There are still deals out there

Great Score Jim !! If they had these , there had to be other items there ..are they all "addressed" to the same person ? Maybe the guy collected only Generals autographs. I also picked up 2 similar items ..I'll start another thread because I bet there are some interesting ones out there.
