There has appeared a scale model doll of a Schupo officer.
I have held one in my hand and must say quality is quite good allthough unfortunately there are some sloppy mistakes in the figure
will discuss faults with each picture

1. Wearing of Feldgendarmerie gorget is of course not correct 2. Aguilette has metal tips hanging from the button side of tunic. If they had hung from the shoulderboard side of the aguillette it would ahve been correct for a Parade Aguilette for Adjudants. In this model however incorrectly executed. 3. Officers Tschako has nice detail allthough the Schuppenkette is incorrectly painted in gold color 4. Bajonet should not be worn on parade uniform 5. Buckle of Officers Parade Bandelier should not have been placed at front. It should not even be visible in front view. As can be seen in third picture it might be possible to slide the bucckle to its correct position at back of figure

6. Unfortunately the collar and cuffs, as well as the capband have been done in a dark green velvet like material. This should of course be dark brown. 7. The swastika at the officers belt-buckle has been painted gold which is of course not correct.

last picture. Not much to complain about the detail on the bayonet.
All in all quite a nice figure with quite high detail to many interesting parts, despite the flaws.

Ernst H, thanks for your critique of the figure.
I have this figure and I'm currently trying to make it more accurate so I appreciate your insights. In comment 8 I assume you mean the sleeve eagle is too small which I had also discovered. If my research is correct the eagle itself should be about 3" in wingspan full-scale or 1/2" in the figure scale.
Can you explain to me your comment 9 where you mention that the cartouche is incorrectly mounted to the sash? What exactly is not right?
Thanks for your help.

Michingan Dawg, thanks for your kind reply
The cartouche box sits too high on the bandolier. It is supposed to "hang" from the bandolier. If you view it the bandolier straps should look as if they are attached to the top corners of the cartouchebox.
Please check the illustrations of the bandolier and cartouche on my website in section "uniforms/bandelier" I think you will see what I mean.
hope this helps. feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

just wanna say, i did some work on this doll. it isn't perfect, but it is a vast improvement... 1/6th scale modelling is my main hobby, polizei is what i like to do the most, but since no one makes anything of the sort except this one figure. basically i made my own hat for the project, and tried to color the cuffs and collar, i painted some collar litzen and a sleeve eagle and also added geen waffenfarbe up the front seam of the tunic, again with paint... it's really not to much work, this was a prototype, i intend to do a whole series of polizei style figures, my next effeort will be towards a luftschutz polizei officer and after that a gendarmerie mountain guide... the biggest problem is the color of the uniform cloth, but overlooking that here's what i have.

Very nice setup !
Love the Bergmutze on this guy. How on earth did you get that stitching in place and the shape looking so good.
May we see a detail image of the cap?

Thanks Ernst! I love your site, and use it frequently as a reference point. I should clarify that the hat was manufactured by the company that made the figure, but originally it was an SS cap. so i did an insignia transplant on it, but it's still a work in progress, when it's done and the whole figure is finalized i'll post better detailed pics of the whole project. My next project is a Luftschutz Polizei officer, should start work on that next weekend, after that i hope to do a gendarmerie moutain guide figure. i'll keep you posted on all of them
