Cool smock! Looks like one of the very first, rough patterns (ca.1938). The names of the patterns itself are post war terminology, so if we try to name it, well, it may be something like "Platanenmuster prototype" Wink or similar. Something like that you can find in Beaver's books, however the "norwegian" one has extremely large spots. Early smocks can be seen quite often on the pics from french campaign in 1940.
Btw. what's the pattern of the Zeltbahn your friend has got?

Wow...Very cool! That is a very early pre-war smock. In Beavers camo book he just refers to all the early variations as pre-war(ss-vt plane tree or block pattern).I am sure he did not have an example like this in the book though. This smock may have even been one of the earliest smocks used....maybe even one of the patterns from the first batches of smocks used in feild testing of the smock.Great find.

I have never seen anything like it... the pattern I mean. Some kind of spot-pattern/ Platanenmuster or something. Very nice indeed!

Let's be clear - this is a completely different variant with some plane tree influence. You can trace plane tree #1 to #6 - and this ain't them. If real, you have a very neat variant - akin to the "varagated palm" pattern found by Mike Beaver.

Hello
Thanks for all comments.
i spoke with my friend today and he told me:

The owner of the smock was in 3.SS Politikompani frome 1944-until the war was over.
He was in Finland in 6.Division Nord.
In april 1945 the were stationed in North-Norway
in Narvik area. They were sent to Oslo 23april and got 14days permission....And the war ended 8 mai.Maybe thats why he had some stuff in his home. The zeltbahn was a oakleaf b pattern.
So he got his permission and went straight to prison! Is it possible to trace the name in the smock in any archives?
