Looks like a good one to me. I believe that Wayne T. considers this one a common etch. Nice bayonet. I have seen this trade mark turned 90 degrees on the blade.

Since your location, Sturmbrigade, is Brisbane, Australia, and that bayonet is currently being offered on a German auctionsite by a seller from Austria, I wonder if you could comment on the possibilities of getting such items through Australian customs. I hear conflicting reports. Some say it is no problem, others say it is.
Cheers mate,

Hi Kilian, yes customs can be a pain in the rear end over here. But if you obtain the correct permits its not so bad. Essentially you have to obtain a form from your state police to acquire the dagger/bayonet (swords are fine as are any edged weapon over 40cm's in length. After obtaining your permit you send that to Australian Customs who then issue you a permission to import. The whole thing takes about 2 months to complete. Oh and if the item is over $500 AUD (declared) you have to pay tax on it. If its over $1000 AUD then another form needs to be completed... its a lot of fun
