Recently came across this Rodo HEER buckle. It was mounted on a PAPER BELT, with 2 ammo pouches and bayo. The maker RODO can be seen with a loop, Its quite scratched up at the name stamp. But the finish on the front appears to have never been painted, Instead a possible clear preservative coat was applied? There are scratches and wear evident with lite rust underneath. I was reading where this is called a late war 3rd type on SS buckles, could this be the same for HEER Buckles ??? Denny
