I always hit the phone book when I hit a new city. sometimes surplus and collector stores can surprise you. I know there is a big one in Pamona ( but that is closer to San Francisco)

Thanks . I remember this place. It has been few years since I was there. I went there one time in the 90's when the Great West Show was still there.

Maybe Jerry's thinking about Kaiser Bill's on 2nd Ave, off Garey in Pomona. That's probably about 30 or 40 miles from downtown LA right off I10. It's a small shop but full of "stuff". Then there's Grenadier Military antiques in Arcadia. I think they have an actual shop but I haven't been there myself.

I would take your offer up Paul but the reason I am going is my wife has a two day course in L.A . She does't like to travel alone. So I got two days to snoop around for antiques down there.

Thanks Joe Semen
