GDC member Leo Tammiksaar in Estonia asked me to post these images and request opinions as to originality. Thanks

Hi John, some collectors no matter what just aren't going to believe in silver sets!.. There was some good looking evidence on another forum that showed them on a period listing..Anyway, Leo's still going to have to provide shots of the fronts for some opinions from the members..

We needn't get into separating myth from reality regarding silver insignia with regard to this set. NO original SS insignia (silver or otherwise) ever had these bogus maker marks. They were first used on Austrian fakes in the 80's or so and have since been duplicated on second generation cast copies of those original fakes, like these silver ones.

bwanek1, we still need to see the fronts. Its the obverse that can sometimes pose the problem.
The problem could be if these are on a good cap and the owner would not want to take the insignia off! These are not on the cap and its elementary for some that these are bad that know the marks. Maybe not so elementary for the inexperienced that have them on a cap and the caps good....,G.

No need to see the fronts IMO. Known reproduction numbers for both skull and eagle. Also note the round pins. Bad to the bone!
