It has no maker mark. I got an set of hangers on another Army-dagger , but the fabric on the back is gold ( or light brown ) Why could they be like this ? There on a presentation piece ( oh oh , presentation piece , now I am in trouble..)

Jim, You never cease to amaze me with your keen eye and perception for detail!  Rob, I have notified the repro police and let's see if they turn this into another full blown blood bath, or at least a condemnation of a blatant attempt at a scheide coverup. The recent discussion has kept me entertained this week as it has been very quiet in the office due to a lack of enthusiasm. Keep up the good work!

Oh no Jim !! You have seen trough my smoke screen!!! What to do now ??? I was planning to sell some fake daggers !!! I have plenty of them around ( swords also ).  If you would read my whole thread , then you could see that I wrote "I got an set of hangers on ANOTHER Army-dagger , but the fabric on the back is gold ( or light brown ) Why could they be like this ?" So this is ANOTHER dagger and scabbard.  Mike its nice to hear some positive comments my way , really. And I am happy that I entertain you in another way that I do normally for a living.

Nothing unusual about that color of fabric on the back of a set of hangers. I think I have a set or two with a similar color on the back. 100% original in my opinion.

 hi in my opinion the fabric is seen quite often there are many backings available,i have a few this colour,this is an old photo of my collection they are all different. dippy
