Hi all,
iam quite new to daggers, but wanted to know if they nade RAD daggers with Alu grip ? I only saw RAD daggers with metal grip, but yesterday I spotted one with the grip made of Alu ?
Is this period ?

Hi Jens, Yes they made some from aluminum my guess would be for the officers before they introduced the smaller officer version. Another guess would be possibly private purchase for parades & parties and whatnot. Wink

WKC IMO did make an aluminum hilt EM and I believe DD Harris told me Pack made an aluminum hilted Officer but both were silver plated.WKC even lists in their catalog a lightweight rad EM

I once owned a Horster RAD EM with aluminum fittings. Came from Tom Wittmann a couple of months after his inventory was stolen at a OVMS show.

These are the same makers I have seen. Wittmann had a pack example and may still have it.

If I'm not mistaken Ron Weinand sold a leaders dagger here on the sight not long ago with the aluminum grip.

Yes, I had an Alcoso with an aluminum hilt without silver plating. It is made in this manner late in the period.
