I do not know if it is original or not but the seller should. Why then in the description under point GARANTIE he has choosen NOTHING and not "The seller guarantees unlimited for the genuineness of this item and grant a sale or return within 31 days from the day of shipping."

Can anyone do a 'non-machine speak' translation?? Is that a 5000 reserve?

I know nothing about this type of dagger as it is way out of my range (an original) but on this one I don't like the pattern on the scabbard.

Its a copy, since the seller clearly states in the description that it is offered as a post war copy

He thinks it MIGHT be a copy from the 60'ties - but he still wants 5000 Euro for it...

It IS a copy. Due to certain features you know when you have handled one of the true original daggers or you do own one this one is a reconizable copy (with a reserve of 4999EUR ). But I also have to admit that it looks like one of the better made copies. Regards

THIS PATTERN DAGGER WAS UNKNOWN TO THE COLLECTING COMMUNITY IN THE 60'S. IT IS A COPY BUT MORE LIKELY FROM THE LATE 70'S OR EARLY 80'S.

Well, that's me out of the running. I thought I'd chance a thousand and one euros on it but that's been beaten already.

Didn't original scabbards have a "rose" color?

First thing i notice is the casting mark/seam on the upper crossguard, that's the first red flag, second is the grip fit to crossguards even in the blurry pictures you can make it out the gaps and just looks non period made, hence the blury pictures. If it were original crisp clear pictures, if it's fake blurry pictures, thought not always the case but 90% of the time it is. Some dummy will buy it and loose hard earned cash. Greed takes over common sense all the time on this stuff.

5000 euros for the copy That's a fortune! The other thing is what's the real market price of such copies, i.e. how much do they sell for. I don't even dare to ask what's the price of the original piece
