The bayonets both have crisp clean etching. A explanation of the copy on them will be appreciated. The first photograph shows two ordinary looking bayonets. When you pass those tables in the show it will pay to stop and ask if you can see the blades on anything that you might have interest in. It has been the case many times that a display of bayonets will be in their scabbards and the dealers do not take them out to show the blade conditions. You travel a long way to go to most shows so give everything you have interest in a good long test.

PHOTOGRAPH #5 These two blades are dated 1932 and 1934. Now notice that the WKC stamped trade marks are slightly different in just the two years apart. Both are deep stampings. One has the WKC under the knights head and the other one does not. Are there any trade mark experts out there to help qualify some of the differences we keep finding in manufacture stampings?

Two fine bayonets-Shooting prizes given by the Officers club of probably Infantry Regiment # 107. There is no way to exactly pinpoint or explain the different TM's. There is too much random use of them --but with WKC--no lines in the visor indicates pre-33-usually--IMO.The frog is stamped D.R.P. and means a patented design. Deutsches Reich Patent. Some call these Postschutz but they are not. The Postschutz DRP uses no periods. The cipher is probably that of the member of Royalty the Regiment was named for. This could be looked up quite easily.

Nice pieces, thanks for taking time to post pictures of your collection, we all enjoy seeing these bayonets. Most of us will never see these let alone own such nice bayonets.
Thanks TKissinger

Houston: Thanks for that very significant information on the difference between the Deutsches Reich Post and the Deutsches Reich Patent. I have two of the pictured frogs and always considered them Reich Postal. And many thanks to Hubertus for your many unbelievably beautiful blades Best Regards, Jack
