TK comes from an excellent source and with a wonderful story but the item must stand on it’s own.
Opinions are solicited. Thanks much!

Looks like a nice original zinc Deschler. Here is a pic of an identical one.

A friend had been working with a fellow who had inherited a 'bunch' of WW2 items his father had brought back from the ETO and later collected. The discussion on purchase had gone (dragged) on some time and my friend had a lot of talk with no purchase to date. My friend received a phone call from the son with the urgency that he needed to sell 'all of it' RIGHT AWAY. My friend already had a long standing appointment and was hard pressed to look at the stuff. When the individual shows up with the lot it literally filled up a pickup truck bed! Every item, including this TK, had/has/ turned out to be OK. Most was US stuff but a considerable amount of 3rd Reich as well. Lord only knows why the sale had to be right away.....possibly when you've gotta' go, you've gotta' go.........

Well, you certainly can't tease us like that. Come on, let us see the rest of the haul!

The rest of the haul was gone long ago. I've been pestering the fellow to at least let me see the TK for an extended period. In the interest of providing at least some solace, I've attached a pic of a haul I made some 5-6 years ago. The pic is of the military items from a collector who died in the early 70's. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his valor in action in the ETO.
