Hello,
I would like to open a discussion on the cuff titles worn by the motorized Gendarmerie. Here is a photo of the two that I have, and enlisted grade above, and an officer's below.
Clearly the emboidery on the officer's is thicker, and of higher quality, but both are in heavy silver bullion.
Was there a cloth thread embroidered EM type, or were they all bullion? I know Dave has a new, rather unique officer's grade, does anyone else have any to share.
I haven't handled enough of these to come to any conclusions regarding standardized font, format, etc.
Regards, Bill Unland

Hello Bill
I would think that the bullion without the russia braid is an NCO grade, I have seen in the past silver grey embroidered for other ranks.
I would also think that the bullion without silver braid could also be a private purchase for other ranks. Just my opinion based on other organisations, and their use of cufftitles.

Gary,
I have never seen a grey thread embroidered cuff title, but it certainly makes sense that there would be one. I can't imagine bullion for every enlisted man.

Hi Bill,
Below is a picture of the only two I own. I'll have to work on a better picture of the border on the one.
