Im sure some of the model builders have seen these, we no longer have a hobby store in our small town so takes us a while sometimes from release date to actually seeing something on a shelf somewhere. This Tiger is a pre-built and finished kit produced by Dragon Models. Its representative of an actual operational Tiger that was in the 2nd Platoon, 1st Company of the 502nd and is also an example of one of the first Tigers fielded by the Germans in WW II. Many of the Tigers supplied in the early days were incomplete. Features such as side skirt mounts, exterior equipment mounts, even turret stowage boxes had yet to be installed.

This model is not only well built but nicely finished including weathering. All numbers and insignia are painted on, no decals. This vehicle is also sporting a smaller Panzer III type turret stowage box typically done on the Tigers of 1st Company. This Tiger is also showing its early winter white wash camo over the traditional panzer gray used on German tanks up to this point of the war.

All in all not a bad job on Dragons part. Given the cost and time of building a well detailed and finished 1/35th tank nowadays, not a bad deal (on sale) at $59. Smile Regular price was low $70s.
