AYLSON-
I MISSED YOUR THREAD THE FIRST TIME AROUND. IT IS VERY INTERESTING READING. HISTORY IS WRITTEN BY THE VICTORS AND OFTEN AMENDED TO FIT THE FACTS AS THEY WANT TO HAVE THEM KNOWN. BORMANN, THE TRUE MISSION OF HESS AND HIS EVENTUAL DEATH WILL ALWAYS REMAIN A MYSTERY DUE TO FACT THAT MOST LIKELY THE TRUTH WOULD BE OF GREAT EMBARRASSMENT TO THE ESTABLISHMENT.

Hello all, I remember a series on the History Channel, I believe it was called "Hitler's Henchmen" that stated the skull that was found was packed with a "clay-like" soil totally different than the soil in which it was found! Interesting! regards, teufel

Very nice tunic´s guy´s. Especially the Bormann tunic. Great piece !

@exspand,

None of those ribbon bars are original on the late style tunics. This thread is "your NSDAP uniforms", not medals/ribbon bars Razz

Splendid uniforms guys. Eek
As for Martin Borman, didn't he die when he tried to escape Berlin together with SS division Nordland in 1945??They were all killed by russian troops by the Widendammer Brucke(bridge) may 2nd 1945.Bormann was drunk and wearing his General uniform.If he managed to escape alive i would be very surprised.

In regards to comments about Bormann's skull and body. DNA tests were done on them in the late 1990's and it was confirmed that they were indeed the bones of Martin Bormann. Since that time they have been buried at sea in the Baltic.

By the way, Bormann also wore a white pre-1939 style Reichsleiter uniform in late 1938. I have a photo of him wearing it at the Eagle's nest.

On another note here are two items I hope that will wet someones appetite. Bormann in 1938 at the Kehlstein house wearing his pre-1939 RL uniform in white and a nice close up of Gauleiter Paul Wegeners collar tab to show that indeed he really did wear the METAL collar tabs as have been long suspected.

back on subject;

Mark why is it that we never seem to have but one side of those metal Gauleiter tabs in collectons or for sale? There are numerous ones of the right (or is it left) tab, but none of the other...no pairs.
This one period picture of Wegeners metal tabs is the only picture known to date to show them in wear. They obviously existed in limited use....but I find it strange that it is always the same side you see offered for sale.

Yes, Yes.. PLEASE get back to posting uniforms. As a collector of three years, who just purchased his first NSDAP tunic, I am really enjoying all the great items you guys are sharing on this thread.

Also not a Uniform and not really NSDAP, but it´s a cap for a political leader of the NSBO, Reichs-level, early pattern (~1934). extremly rare.

Thanks, Erich.
I like having tunics with award loops so medals, ribbon bars etc. can be added. The problem with PL tunics is quite often,especially the lower ranks, have no award loops. The Munich Gau badge is just pinned on, as is the 1939 Day Badge tinnie on the Gauleitung tunic!!
