By the way...The seller is VERY nasty. I tried emailing him suggesting that it might not be original and how germandaggers is an excellent place to get info on items and he told me to "f*** off".

Marker..it's a bit rich for him to complain about this site when virtually everything he sells is repro or outright fantasy..

Yes, that armband is bad bad bad...only political leader armbands were marked 'oben' (it means basically, this way up..) because the rows of acorn leaves were meant to go in a certain direction..there is no need to put that on an armband that is pretty well the same upside down or no..

They get mad, because they do not like to be called on their bull****.he has dozens of fakes running on that site at the moment..it used to be a good place to buy items, but him, Simone.Simone and others are shameless fake peddlars.

What is common knowledge is that THEY are con artists, preying on unsuspecting collectors

Tell him to hit the road..

Weird thing is.... He's really getting on my case about this. I wasn't accusing him or anything. I just stated that I didn't think it was original. He took the time to search my name on here and and comment on just about everything I'd like to buy for my collection in his nasty emails he's been sending me.

Just the way he's getting all uptight about this makes me wonder if he KNOWS he's selling fake items. Why else would he be so defensive?

I haven't even replied to his last email and don't intend on doing so just from the immature responses he's sending me. He's not worth my time. Want to reply for me Wink?

If he reacted differently then this would be a different story...But he got so damn defensive.

You have NO IDEA about this hobby. Keep on listening to the sharks on GDC...you'll end up getting just what you deserve...

I'm only 18 and I don't have tons of money. I'm sort of worried that when I'm in my 20's and I have more, things are going to be even more rare and even more expensive...

My main thing is to get a hat or tunic, but obviously I can't have that now due to funds.

I might have to start with a 9mm Luger which would run about 700-900 on a gun site (I've seen a few in that range).

These are the things I'm interested in.

Iron Cross
Visor
Armband
Tunic
Dagger
Luger
M44 Helmet (way too expensive and rare)

I'd like to have all of it for my WWII collection, but you can't have everything in life :P.

The armband you are selling is valued at $300+ and since it's rare it should fall into the $600 range. Armbands, especially if they are SS never go for this cheap.

It's not even stamped with an RZ number.

I would recommend going on germandaggers.com If you wanted more information. It's how I got started in the hobby.

Tell him this adult thinks his items are sh*t.If he thinks they are good, have him post them here and see if they pass muster, i guarantee they won't..i can pull 10 items at random from his listings and dissect all of them.He salts his listings with some real and very common items, but that too is few and far between!

Ask him to come on here and debate us!
Betcha he won't! Wink

I'd rather not reply to his emails anymore. It's just going to get too intense Wink.

Pretty much all I did now was report him to gunbroker for harassing me.

I still can't get over how he actually looked me on the forum!! That's so funny.

Kursk - Could you possible pose as my dad? And maybe it seem like I went crying to my father Wink. I'll PM his email to you. :P

Well, i can't 'pose' as anybody that i am not..i am just me..but, if you have concerns, voice them, his stuff really is mostly grbage, and that is not what we as collectors want to see in our hobby..he's a quick buck artist..

There's not much I can do now. I just won't reply and hope he goes away, but it looks like he won't stop sending me emails. I guess he just doesn't get it. He's not worth my time.

NEVER respond to these turkeys. If you ignore them they go away but if you answer, they will keep annoying you forever. Who is the person ?
