i have a new friend that has this dagger for sale. i resently purchased a HJ leader for him, via approval thru T. Wittman's inspection. MR. Wittman said that Henry was a good guy & the youth leader dagger was a real nice one. now i'm wanting to buy this one from him. please give me your opinions. if i need to ask for additional pics, tell me what i should ask for. thanx steve

Personally speaking...and I am NO expert...I would ask for some close up's of all parts, blade, grip , chain & Scabbard. These pics are too distant to make a judgment. From these shots my opinion is the blade looks a bit suspect, but, as I said I am no expert. Maybe you could get Tom's approval on this one as well, that would do it for me anyway.

Regards

Steve

I would be definitely asking for more photos before making a purchase. I agree with Steve, the blade, (at least), looks suspect.

No probs, but as I said I am not an expert. I will help where I can.

I hope some of the more seasoned collectors notice this thread and give their opinions too.

The dagger looks stone mint.I do not even see a scratch anywhere on it.For a dagger that is 70 years old that is suspect of being restored. It may be just mint ? Best chained SS I have ever seen .Can anybody top it ?.What the hell is suppose to be wrong with the blade?

There maybe nothing wrong with it, but the old saying "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is" comes to mind here.

Fellows, I have purchased this w/ an " anytime you want you $$$ back" assurance. Will be posting detailed pics as soon as i can get my son to come home before i go to bed. My camera just will not let me get a close up shot & he has the fancy camera , stand , remote clicker thing, etc.. Please stay tune for Part II. Steve

Hi like it from the pics provided but close ups are needed or an inspection period/money back guarantee prior to purchase. Good luck looks like a beauty! cheers, Ryan
