This dagger comes up on the forum periodically. Here is the previous thread. http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/...=790108941#790108941I'm personally curious what other members think of the piece. To me it is an interesting novelty, but the price for a reproduction anything, is extremely high.

Albrecht - Thanks for the link. I looked for previous posts on the topic but missed it.
This dagger would not fool a blind collector (no offense to that demographic... if it exists (and if it does... how are you reading this???)), but I think it is good to be aware of what is out there. Afterall the parts (especially the fittings and "real ebony grip") could be of potential concern to collectors.
Good hunting, Johnny

Good point Johnny, that was my line of thinking also.
Of course, not having actually seen and handled these parts, its impossible for me to say whether they might fool an experienced collector or no.
.. but it is an interesting notion to contemplate that there are modern Bker made parts being fabricated, which may enter into circulation. Something to be aware of in my opinion.
On an aside, the Conan style scabbard is something else!
Best,
B.A.

I wouldn't mind to get one (as X-mas gift), but I'd never think seriously about buying it because it's to expensive. Prefer to save my money for the real stuff. And I think you're 100% right Johnny: "This dagger would not fool a blind collector". Every single part is miles away from 3R SS Bkers.

Well spotted Johnny,it does look like a nice dagger guys!but for that kind of price,i missed the price when i looked before i was thinking between 500 and 1000 dollars max! Anyone who buys one of these either has too many good ss daggers (who does?) or more money than sense i suppose if there are only 500 made they will have some collecting value but it will never be as good as the real thing regards

Johnny, I like your dog. I like that dagger too, but not at $2,500.00. Maybe $500 or so just to have one. Overall, just a drawer knife that one would take out now and then to look at and show friends. Mark

Intrestingly the standard blade boker is ony $199. Guess this is not a limited series.

It it was it is. I'd rather have an equivalent valued SS Boker, but perhaps this is not being marketed to folks like us.
