Collectors!

Im in Contact with the THW, (Thats the 3rd Reich TeNo!)
I had asked for 3rd Reich personel-Lists to confirm it with Dagger-Numbers.
Because I had wrote some articles about 3rd Reich daggers in past, it seems they would help me with some information.

Please post some of Your Numbers from TeNo daggers. I will see if we can get the Persons
to the numbers!

regards
Medes

Now I have a final result:

This morning(Germany) I had mailed some of the dagger-numbers to my contact at the THW.
Now-minutes ago, I got a call from the THW.
They had checked ther documents from TeNo.

Result:

They dont have any documents which contain dagger Numbers.

Sorry, I know that are not good news. But now it`s fact for the collector-community that there is no way to get the name from the original owner by confirm the dagger numbers.

The Guy from the THW was very kind, he told me that only 20! files had survived the end of the war...

Thats the story gentlemen....

Too bad about that.

By the way, you know that as you get older, eyesight is the second thing to go.

My Teno Leader number is really 0980 (thank you, Ron, for bringing this to my attention).

I have seen a couple of TN Leader's with number below 100. Also, some of the early ones do not have the TN eagle etch on the blade with the Eickhorn TM.
Early TN Hewers also have the number stamped on the blade just like the TN leader in the early numbers.
There are also some TN Hewer variants.

Medes, thanks for giving it a try, information like like would change the collectibility of Teno daggers which are underrated IMO...

Ron, interesting information. I was not aware of any variations on the Teno Hewer, or early stamped numbers. What kind of variations are there?

Redbaron, I also think that it is an important information for us dagger collectors.
Im wondering that it seems not so interesting for the collectors in gd.com.

Joe Pankowski told me that years ago he saw #068. I wonder where that dagger is today.
