These days at work we had a surprising find.We found, the bones of 3 persons(maybe there more,we're not finished yet). The excavation was triggered from the ones helmet, so the detector beeped, I dug, and we found the remains. The weird thing is that the place we work is a minefield of the Greek civil war, and was planted in 1948.Propably it was a battlefield during WW1.In an attempt to recognise the origin of the people the bones once belonged, I got a uniform button I found there.I seems like an Austro-Hungarian eagle to me...I'd love to have some more info. The helmet was in bad shape, but it looks like a french WW1 helmet, the ones with the small crest.Dog tags also found there, sent for cleaning to be readable.Oval shaped and made of aluminum. A fascinating tale. Are you an archeologist? Would be curious to see more photos!

Awesome work Phatt! Most interesting finds. I wish you the best of luck in your search for both clues and information. Cheers, Pauli

Anyone else have any ideas about these finds, you would be a lot of help in our attempt to get them home, even after close to 100 years....
