As the year draws to a close, I like to look back and remember how I did in my collecting. "Count my blessings" so to speak. This year was pretty good to me, I think my top find was a Bevo EM TK tab & Eicke Cufftitle, But I also got a nice Flatwire runic tab, and I just picked up bullion NCO TK tab I was after for at least 10 years. There are still things out there I am chasing, but that's what makes it all the more fun when you land a special item! What were your best SS finds of the past year?

I got a few things this past year; however, none of them were SS so I won't post them here. I have a line on a couple of pieces early next year.

I have had a very good year for "dark side" regalia! I was fortunate enough to pick up a number of items, as follows (unfortunately all photos courtesy the original sellers): ~ Ian

My favourite score this year will have to be this Shrine to SS LAH Officer Erhard Meyer who was killed at Kharkov in 1943 , including in the superb hand crafted Oak box are some very nice items including his cufftitles and collar tabs / photos / LAH embossed folder / personal items /pics of his grave and lots of documents including hand signed docs from Fritz Witt as Commander of the 12th SS Hitler Jugend and Sepp Dietrich. Hope you enjoy Cheers S

Here's mine. A Robert Klass NCO Degen with motto. A very rare maker for this sword, bought from Lakeside Trader, originating from T. Wittmann. Sadly, was not included in his book.

A friend of mine emailed me and attached this picture. How rare is a Waffen-SS veterinarian tunic? From the picture I can see that the shoulder boards are Army type, which would be typical of early war. They have a gilt pip and gilt snake cipher. The cuffband is a aluminum flat wire Deutschland in Gothic. What do you think of this?
