It came with post today. I wonder, who can be the maker? The tang is marked "circle A" and 23 (yes, I disassembled it ) I just hope you will not see any red flags.

I don't see any red flags. It looks like a good type II to me. The tang marks are from the producer of the blade blanks. To the best of my knowledge it is not possible to determine the dagger maker by the tang marks alone.

It looks like a nice honest type 2 - 36. Some time ago Jr and Skyline had a interesting thread regarding telling of manufacturers by grip and crossguard configuration. Maybe they can come it and give an opinion. Congrats! -wagner-

There is no 100% conclusive way to tell the maker on the 36s (unless there has been new news that I am not aware of). I tried to figure it out on one of mine a while back. Very frustrating as you will find characteristics found on several different makers. If I remember correctly, it has been figured that there are at least 3 known makers of these 36s. How to tell for sure, who knows. I was pretty sure mine was a Klass, but can't say 100%. Nice find, from what I can see, yours looks good to me!
