While a large number of this general type of short sword were carried by soldiers in Artillery Regiments. That is not an absolute, because they were also carried by some soldiers in Infantry Regiments. A Württemberg Infantry short sword this model could nominally be from the mid to late 19th century. And is marked to the Württembergisches Infantrie-Regiment Nr. 180 puts it at the later end of the scale. In the overall scheme of things they are generally harder to find than non-Württemberg brass hilted types. FP
