Hello,
I'm in the market to buy my first SS dagger...I see what the big dealers have them priced at, but would like to know collector prices/opinions...I'm only looking to acquire one near mint or better piece, and I know it might be a long while to find one in this condition...What are the more realistic prices to pay for say a RZM marked, earlier marker marked, or a Boker (which I like the most!)...I know it may take a while to find the "right" one for me, but I'm wondering which would be the better investment and representative one to buy...Look forward to your guidance.

There are basically two types of SS daggers, the early maker marked and the RZM type. A trully near mint early SS EM will sell for about $ 5000 USD and $ 3500 USD for the RZM type. The SS daggers are so much in demand that there are little price differences between dealers and private collectors. Of course, you will pay a lot less for an E+ or E++ condition SS EM. Only the near mint types demand a premium price. Good luck in your search.

Guidojo, You cannot sell here without being a premium member and since this is your FIRST post and we don't have a clue who you are...my advice would definitely be to pass on your offering. A P.T. Barnum troller it would seem. Mark

I know, Mike. The IP tracks back to Arizona. I don't blame him, though. At his age Mr. Eickhorn probablt feels better in Sun City.

Well then... IF this is a true story... I would advise you to educate yourself on the difference between an SS officer's dagger and a late model RZM enlisted man's dagger before you sell anything.

Actually it was just an attempt to put a little humor in a thread that seemed to be heading like so many others at GD. You need you check you IP tracker....I'm at least 1800 miles east of Arizona.
