I just got this piece. First one of that logo type I have ever been able to have a chance at buying. They are soooo scarce. My theory on their scarce state is that a certain unnamed moderator has bought up all the nice ones over the years.

Looks like there's lots of crossgrain on that blade. Any chance of seeing more photos?

Tough to get an SS dagger with that maker mark. Nice one.

Although RHanson does not say, it appears to be the same as this one: http://www.militarycollectiblesinc.com/Merchant2/mercha...Product_Code=da00825

I was at the Chicago Field Museum a couple weeks ago. Saw King Tut's solid gold funeral dagger there. Hard to get a photo due to focus on the glass case, but it appears that the little animal haammered into the scabbard end was the smooth tail variation also.

Large smooth tails are hard to find. Nice example. Congrats. -wagner-
