You have to admit...this doesn't happen very often.

Today, I am the recipient of 2 (count 'em 2) M35 Double decal SS helmets.

One very nice and lightly salted ET64 and a slightly better EF64 with Pocher decals.

When it rains, it pours....

Looking at those two beauties more closely I think that Bernie Brule will recognize the EF. I have seen that one in the flesh...nice example of an early helmet.

Cheers,

Opps...I forgot to show the liners...
The EF is a 38 dated liner with a 39 dome stamp. The ET has too much dirt and greebles to see the liner band date.

Yes I do recognize that EF. It came out of Sweden in 2003. I traded it for a slightly better conditioned ET. M35 DD EFs are very hard to find. Nice score Ken.

Actually, a better condition ET is just what I am looking for. You wouldn't happen to be willing to trade back would you? Smile

I think this is keeper Ken. ET64 with Pocher decals and a 1935 dated liner. Cool

It's even more striking in the flesh. Bernie was kind enough to drop by my hotel while I was in Ottawa on business a few months ago. He brought this SS helmet and a few other "toys" for me to look at and we talked about collecting for a few hours in my room.

This is the earliest M35 helmet that I have ever come across. And it's in wonderful, untouched, original condition. A beauty!

Cheers,

Darryl

Don't think I have ever encountered a 35-dated liner. That's rare. Cool Very kool. Cool
