This style of writing is probably not everybody's taste, but interesting. I think that the initials EV LL are written on this silver ring.

Two stamps ; inside 800 stamp and outside of the band a mark I can't see what is depicted there. I've seen these stamp shapes on French or Italian rings. The ring will be made for a person with a special taste

too bad you can't get into that mark any better. It almost looks like Tibetan or Islamic writing on the ring ...

Gaspare I was also thinking of an eastern writing script in the first place. Perhaps my ring has an eastern script , but I thought it would be nice to post here a script that is a bit simular. I found in Hermann Historica Mnchen Auktion , lot 3056 , this writing...... An award ring from the Mnich philharmonic orchestra . A ring of a very high quality. Much , much , nicer than mine Here the backside of the auction ring with in it a ludic script .

A magnificent looking ring! I've heard of it before but have never seen it. thanks for posting it..
Only thing I've heard about it is that it was awarded once...I'm surprised there's not some form of provenance with it,,or any more info other than the brief description.. I have a connection from the Wilm Jewelry firm. I've sent a link to it and a few questions. If the person is in good health we'll hopefully hear something about the piece..
Even the box is nice!

Gaspare, I hope youll be succesfull in getting info about this Mnchen Philharmonic Orchestra ring. The ring and box are really luxurious made .
I found a ring of someone I know . He told that his grand dad, a German Luftwaffe soldier brought it home from Abbesinia . Its a variation of my ring. Also Ev on each side.

Here the two rings together . I turned the right one...there is a certain simularity in "E v LL". The right ring initials are gold or gilded. Gaspare I can understand if you feel I do. Let's research further and see what we find about these rings .

Hi benten,
Nice rings you have found. What do you think, is this Ge'ez script or some version of it? Or maybe Amharic?

Could they Runic Symbols?....or Runic variations?...there was a lot of Occult activity at that time...could be a possibility.

Gaspare , thanks for posting this ring. I see what you mean....here we see among others the resemblance on the rings with the "E " with the long tail and the curly decoration under that.
After a hint of a friend, I've asked among others the Jewish Documentation Centre, who know more about the Jewish Arabic region ; they didn't recognize the text as Jewish or Arabic.
Seeing your ring.... I agree that it has to do with Arabic writing.
