Nice looking piece. They do pop up every once in a while but you should also be wary of them as are a lot of postwar cases out there too. This is my example.

Thanks for your replies gentlemen ! I do believe the box to be period made but didnt know if they where awarded in such boxes. My box looks like a little cheaper version than yours Billy G. (very nice cross by the way) but I have seen a couple of versions for sale trough the years so this must be just another one I guess. My box has no release button for the the lid for example but maybe some versions did not have that ? Thanks, Hakan

Hi Hakan,
Thanks for your kind words. I checked my files & I don't have any that are missing the release button. Not saying yours is bad, just that I don't remember seeing one previously. There are some very well versed guys here that I'm sure can shed some light on your case. I hope it's good as I'm really a fan of the cased EK II. Good luck.

Thank you guys ! The ring is maker marked "40" for Berg & Nolte. The paint is 100% and the frame retains alot of the frosting. Does anyone know what a fair value whould be on this piece, just want to check if I did good ! Hakan
