Not a subject I have studied. Have noted different door plaques now and then. Have seen some elaborate enameled examples.
Hope one or more of our members will contribute of their knowledge.

The first one is believed to have something to do with the Saarland. i don't believe it has been possitively identified yet. The second and third are from the National Socialist Volkswohlfarht a social welfare organization. The location is on the bottom. the first is from Dusseldorf and the second from Köln-Aachen. I've never seen the one from the NSKK( N.S.Kraftfahr-Korps) before. Very nice.

1st. one is attributed to the Volkssozialistische Selbsthilfe. (What exactly that is someone else will have to say).

Hello, Nice items. Regarding the first plaque shown I know there was some discussion on one of the forums as to whether this item was for the Volkssozialistische Selbsthilfe, a social welfare organization or for the Volksliste Saar, a pro unification group. Don't know whether the discrepancy about the organization this item represents has been resolved yet. Since this is a thread about door plaques I figured I'd show a pic of a couple I have. The first if I remember the organization correctly is for the NSV,National Socialist verband(?), a welfare organization. I used to have a good translation of what it says but roughly translated I believe it says about how house begging and hausieren(?) is forbidden and support is by the authorities alone. Actual translation I get from babel fish is "house-beg and hausieren forbade support alone by authorities. If anyone can give me a good translation it is appreciated. The second door plaque I show just says Mit Uns,I suppose it's just to show support for the party. There is writing on the plaque which says "Deutscher Plakstverlag Hamburg Gesch Gesch on the bottom and on top it has a maker name and what again looks like a town name which I can no longer make out very well. The Mit Uns plaque is about 1 1/2 inches by about 2 1/2 inches and enamelled. The NSV plaque is about 3 by 3 1/2 inches. Duzig(Bill)

Hello, Great items! Duzig, I especially like the NSV one, the eagle is very '30's "art deco" style. Here is mine. Translation: Free Through National Socialism. Measures 3 1/2 inches. Comments on originality are most welcome! Regards, Leipzig
