WOW- Forget the makers mark, from the pics. you posted I think you have the BIGGEST Heer dagger aruond!!! That thing must be 12 feet long! Joking asside- FANTASTIC dagger, I have never seen this mark before. It really is amazing the amount of detail that you can see in these macro pics. Thanks for posting and congrats! PS- Hmmm. Rare maker, great condition, Heer, Aluminum fittings, I think I know someone who will be interested to see this...

Jon VERY nice and rare find. You just keep poking at me, don't you? Glad you posted as this isn't seen very often and I'm interested in the make-up of this type. EPack made some nice and very interesting stuff to drive collectors nuts. I know of three like this, your's being the 3rd. AND as always, your pictures are Very skillfully done, showing that kind of detail.

Thanks guys, JR, a compliment from the maestro is praise indeed, I have my teacher to thanks for some great tips . Denny, I knew you would appreciate see-ing some detailed photos, its all in the " little things " for us army guys. I still cant master the differences between generic B / Wingen and Herder no matter how close I go with the zoom but coupled with the other fittings I think Wingen is spot on. When you say you know of 2 others, do you mean the TM or the fittings in general on a Pack?.

The TM. 2 have EPack fittings and what appears to be late Wingen on yours.

Ah yes what a great example. A super find - I would add that to my collection in a second. I collect this maker mark and look long and hard for it. It is rare on any dagger. I do have it on an -army-2nd model luftwaffe-rad EM- Rad Officer. Looks like nickel plated wingen to me. Denny I think a 10 would be appropriate for this one.
