I also find this an intereting conversation.
I do not believe this is such an obviouse fake. I am not particularly fond of the shape of the grip, but the rest looks ok.
So, state your reasons you believe this dagger is not original.

Never trust a man who paints his nails that colour..it's sooo slutty!!
If you want to criticise someone first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when they come after you, you'll be a mile ahead and they'll be barefoot.

You are right.Looks like original one. So, what's wrong with the one on eBay?

Tatoo Bob. Yours appears to be a 90's reproduction.
In particular look at the thickness of your cross guard. These narrow crossguards are the earmark of the 90's reproductions.
If you show us clear pictures of your blade etch we can confirm this.
As to the other one.
Unless there is a new batch of reproductions coming out of poland, I think it is ok.

Here is a photo of three originals and one reproduction. Check all the crossguards. Note the excellent detail on the bone gripped dagger. It is the 90's reproduction. They also made a lot of the brass model for the navy as you show here.

Regarding the direction of the leaves.
Tatoo Bob has a good point here. I checked all three of my original Borowski's for the direction of the leaves. My reproduction is exactly like Tatoo Bobs. All three of the others go in a like direction. The quality of the mid period originals (2) is the same as I see on Ebay. My early dagger is better detail, but not as good as the modern copy.
The Mann dagger has foliage going the other way.
Aleksandr. This trademark is unusual but not unheard of. In the late 90's, I was offered one in Poland and my Polish friends assured me this was OK. But, this tm looks almost like it was stamped yesterday. On the other hand, the blade does not appear to be modern.
Remember, the copies were made by the jewelers that made Polish daggers and swords from about 1952 on. This is why the detail of some reproductions are better than the originals. Note the makers violated no Polish laws because they did not represent these were by Borowski. Some later were produced and marketed under the name "Souvenier". I use to buy daggers from these guys when I lived in Lodz.
And, the price of the copies in poland in 1994 was $75.00. But then people started selling them on Ebay as originals.
Just a little background.
As I said, I have questions but not enough to lable a nice looking dagger as a copy.
