Today I have decided to start my time machine. 60 years back I visited the local HERDERīs distributor shop. Nice items there. Took two of them because they looked so appealing to me.

This is what I call REALLY mint.
BTW: what looks like scratching on the blades is only in the photographs. In real there is 100% grossgraining.

Have a great weekend and Memorial Day

Where did you make such a find. Those are very nice looking and must have cost more than a small car. Wink

Dear fellow collectors, thank you for looking and the true mass of kind words.
If I have time I am sure I will start my time machine again because of the success my first travel had and the very comfortable price of only a few Reichsmark Smile .

@lakesidetrader: Although they are absolutely identical twins (left the daggerīs number on the tag which naturally differs) and the handwritten "SA" is also obviouly from the same hand there is no price mentioned. The shop members told me they always did a look into their lists when one was sold Wink .

I am aware of a total of four of these certain unissued daggers, one is shown in TMJīs reference books.

Regards,

I have one as well, unfortunately, the bag was thrown out by TTW's helper who unpacked my daggers to take pictures for his SA book. Needless to say, I'd like to have a replacement!I still have the dagger, just no bag. ;-(

Bret, I'm with you bro'. I almost sold the dagger as I cringe every time I see it lying there, naked without the bag... Frown
