There are nickel silver oak leaves all along the backstrap, unto the sides of the handle, and up over the pommel area

OOOPS!!Looks like some one lost the backstrap and made up a filler. Who`s the maker? Looks like a Pack product.

Sorry, forgot to say- no maker mark but the eagle design is identical to several Packs I've owned. Don't think home done, as workmanship is too exact. mike

I don’t think that I’ve seen the equal of this one. The backstrap seems to have some movement in it (?). And I can’t tell how it’s attached to the blade. Perhaps when a chance for better lighting presents itself some more images can be taken to get a better look. Without that the images are just too dark IMO to form a good opinion. FP

My geuss would be that the back strap has replaced. I've seen the oak leaf pattern somewhere else.

The piece is solid as a rock- it is also attached with pins that go from those side flared areas into the handle-hell, I'll bring it to the Max this year, I've got a table. Mike
