Thanks for the link Joe. I guess other collectors like them to! One question. Is it normal for these not to be maker marked? SSman

Very nice set indeed! I've owned several of these and have seen them marked and unmarked on the back near the bottom of the cross.

Thank You for the compliment Fritziii and letting me know that they did make some of these that were unmarked. SSman

I would like to Thank all you members for the input on these crosses. I have had quite a few of the full size crosses and they were all unmarked and have seen a lot of minatures and the marked ones I have seen had the L code so I was not sure if they all were marked? SSman

Nice set of minis SSman! I think you will see them both marked and um-marked. If you wish, you can add some pics of your minis to the other thread, where several other minis are already posted. There are a lot of variations to the type of attachment pins seen as well.
Regards
Russell

Very nice crosses Raymond - I think these are great little items to collect, and relatively in-expensive as well.

Andy, thanks for showing your examples! What is the mid size bronze award in the case on post #4? Is it a pin back? --dj--Joe

Joe, Excellant eye and good question. Below are three photos of the "pin back" piece to lend some perspective to its size and construction? I've only seen one other offered at the MAX at an outrageuos price. I'd like to assume its a legit piece, but can't explain its strange dimensions or its purpose. Any ideas?
Andy

Joe, Now that I look at it close up, it does have a mishaped lower part. Not a good sign. A strange piece for sure. Andy

DIRKIO, welcome. Originial ribbon stock shows up from time to time. I will attempt to remember your request and let you know if Mothers cross ribbon becomes available.
Sometimes another collector happens to have some extra. Anyone?

Here are mine, one of each, plus the LDO box (not shown) for two of them. I just noticed that the silver one is not signed on the back and none of them are marked.
Looking for EKI spanges, first model intermediate and second model L/12.

Another thought on these and others. Notice the difference in signatures, does help put a year or time period to these? MY gold one has his early signature, the bronze shows the signature starting to drop, and SSman and Raymond shows what I believe is his final signature that is almost straight up and down. Interesting through. Jim
