Is there any way to know where HJ Bann # 303 was located?

Bann 303 was located at Dill-Eder in Gebiet Hessen-Nasau according to the 1937 HJ Organization Buch.

PS: A reprint of this listing from 1937 will be in my NPEA Daggers and Associated Knives update.

My HJ Organization Buch from 1937 does not list Bann numbers that high and the US Govt. Handbook does not list a Bann with the number 788, so you are not going to find this Bann in my opinion.

No, this Bann existed, but was not identified by the US Government at the end of the war. Several Bann numbers higher are identified, but not this particular one. This is why I like the earlier HJ items and the original Org. Buch that has the early Bann numbers identified.
IF you study the HJ Org. Buch and the listing of US Govt. Bann numbers, most that were in existance and were in the correct Gebiet, but the town names and locations changed. New Gebiets were added as time went on to numbers in the 800s late in the war. This is why MOST of the mint, unissued boards are from the 700 to 800 range. They never made it into service.
