Stengaard, While I might have a period reference, I don't have it immediately available. With from memory - my best recollection being that it's a Swiss artillery(?) short sword circa late 19th century into the early 20th. Being a German made close (but not exact) copy of the French Model 1831 "Coupe-choux" short sword. With, also from memory, that (illegible) shield on the crossguard probably being the Swiss Canton marking. PS: It's nice to see the leather belt attachment, such swords almost never having them still attached. Regards, FP
