I have a GRAY metal cap wreath with the red "button" (****ade) center.

Usually these are silver!!

Could this is be a "camouflaged" item.

Hope someone can help me.

Just a late war made zinc piece that has lost it's finish.

Raymond.... thanks for the reply. Still seems strange to me. Looks like a medium gray paint finish... very uniform (front and back) and no trace of silver anywhere.
