Hello guys I know the answer but wish to re affirm it a true wartime Kreigsmarine tellermutze can NOT have a clear plastic stiffener correct? It should be a paste board stiffener. I have only observed plastic on early 50s west German caps such a white topped tellermutze was shown on warelics and pronounced as period and authentic no pictures of the clear plastic internal stiffener were shown this was clearly visible when I examined it
