I have an early (year 6.2) Nambu type 14. It came in a much later rubberized canvas holster. There is a stamping inside the clam shell can anybody read it ?

There were a couple of bonuses in the holster: The cleaning rod and a spare striker

Very nice - most of the time these items are missing especially the spare striker

as close to "capture condition" with as they get

And as another bonus, the original lanyard came attached to the pistol.

Once again - never been messed with nice catch
really like the early style Nambu

And guessing the holster inspection stamp is Kokura ? not Nagoya

Nice rig! Is spare firing pin numbered to pistol? My vote is circular Nagoya Arsenal stamp. Remember rubberized equipment has been around since 1939.

Jareth, you a probably right -hard to say exactly due to blurring , the pistol is Tokyo Arsenal 1931 ?

There is a small circular Nagoya stamp on the striker, plus what looks like "3 1". No relation to the pistol number

One the bit that sticks down, the is " i j " with a dot above the " j "

great looking rig hard to find pistol/holster/ram rod / extra fireing pin how about the price of 8mm nambu ammo per round i believe they are now 10.00 per round if you can find them i have a decent surply of them for years happy hunting guys god bless all you sick people like me there is no cure for us i love every minute of it especially when i make a purchase im happ andy militarynut

That thing is a cleaning rod, I think.

As for bullets, it came with 16. See below. From the looks, they had been in the tropics.

I believe Old Western Scrounger may still have 8mm Nambu reloads

There always seems to be a little 8mm Nambu on Gunbroker.
Several full original boxes on now, kind of pricey, but like Andy said, not that common.

I'm not sure I'd shoot that Nambu Type 14 made in 1932. It look good inside and out, but that is a long time. Numbers match too ... at least those I can see.

Also somewhat interesting the later Model with winter trigger also had a "grip safety" in that a fully loaded magazine will lock into the slot at the bottom doesn't feed until released. Agree not shooting
- still a very nice set.
