Good evening gents,

This came up for sale locally. The guy is asking fair amount of dosh for it so before I make him an offer I would love to hear your opinion and price evaluation. What would be a fair amount to spend on this one?
I'am thinking no more than $600,-. But if this is worth more please share your opinions.
Thanks in advance,

Peter Jan.

hi peter jan
in my opinion you have a ww2 gunto mounted katana sword with combat covering scabard these are common ww2 fittings the blade is signed and has the showa mark this blade dates between 1925 thru 1945 its kind of hard to see if there is any sharpning from a stone any grind marks any openings in the blade skin value if non of the above is present then i would say your safe at starting at 600.00 but its hard to price a sword as the prices vary from country to country last the way you show the sword with the point appears its stuck in the wood floor if it fell by accident and broke a piece of the tip off then its worth very little in value all ways lay a japanese blade down not up if you value your sword hope this helps you have a great day andy militarynut

I got the sword for 600. Hope it doesn't disappoint when it arrives in the mail. I purchased also an oddball dagger with it to be able to close the deal. Not sure which section to post that in...hahaha. Any idea what this masonic stuff is worth??
