Collectors

I am posting a You Tube video from War Story Military Antiques!

Alex and Bill are unpacking rare daggers or at the least very nice Alex got from Europe!

War Story antiques with Alex has been very nice. at shows and Tom Wittmans home showing fine things and info!

Just another tool for us collectors to enjoy and see stuff! Maybe collectors would like to discuss what they see!

I enjoy Tom Wittmans vidoes and I also like seeing Alex travel around!

Looking at german stuff I can't see in person is fun!

I have never met Alex but Bill Rannow is well known in Japanese swords and I used to set up next to him many times!

Collectors now have videos an shows to keep up with the hobby!

What are your thoughts on how it helps the hobby!

Collectors

As the future of our hobby is unfolding the video might change the way folks do business!

Not leaving your home and seeing stuff is exciting! Learning is fun!

Just another tool in the box!

If your a dealer or seller this reaches wide groups of buyers!

You also can share on a military forum what you like or how much is your 20 SS daggers worth!

I see vast new areas coming to the hobby!

The days of I can't take a good pic and where do I buy or sell is being determined!

Searching the shows or places you can't go is opening up!

The hobby back in the old days had us collectors waiting for lists or black in white pamplets Der Gauliter loaded with ads for sales or wanted ads!

We thought that was the cats meow! Manions, color auction books!

Everything was slow and thats all we had!

Now a collector can use zoom or video stuff himself! For guys not to cheap pay a young person to do it!

Thats what they do everyday! 200.00 and they will film everything!

Sell or buy yourself! See shows you can't see, meet people and places you never met!
Forums might have ad sections of for sale stuff on video!

Forget the pics unless you are JR!

I can see wants and for sale stuff coming!!!!!! On video!!!!!!!!!

Empty sale sections could comeback to life! Dealers might show new books for sale or stuff!

I think thats coming!

Tom is showing his great collection from his house!

No risk hauling and he controls the content!

All that stuff to see and talk about! Tom can talk!

Others also!

Collectors like to see stuff! And rewatch!

1 person with non shakey hands taking in the topics he wants! Tom was always a leader in the hobby!

Now lots of folks are filming!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!! No shortage of cash there.
What do I do with all the crap I have???
I will admit, watching these videos, if nothing else is entertaining. It also makes me want to buy, sort of like giving an alcoholic a drink. They want more.

I’ve seen most of these videos and think they’re great selling tools. If they help the hobby, so be it. There’s also some learning in there too. I look forward to new episodes.

Makes me want to get back to a big show. Have not made the SOS for two years, and never any of the East shows.
I could walk around those large shows for weeks.
