Gentlemen,

deeply saddened I have to inform you, that my good friend, Sensai and co-author Vic Diehl ended his life at the 5th of April 2014.

He will be missed.

Very sad to hear this - he was a great help and source of information on the german automobile corps. I wondered why he had sold much of his collection. He was truly a great man.

My deepest condolences to Vic's family and friends. While I never had the pleasure of meeting Vic, his masterful and scholarly research of Imperial Navy and Auto Corp daggers inspired me to pursue this rewarding past time. If only we all could be so impactful to the hobby. I regret that I did not make the effort to personally thank him.

So sad to hear. This guy was always willing to help others and share his knowledge.
He will be missed.
It is alarming the knowledge we have lost these past few years.

Over the past 40 + years I have had a number of dealings with Vic ,he was a real gentleman and very professional -

I was helped by Hermann & Vic only back in January and this is very sad to learn of his passing. Condolences to his family.

Sad to learn of his death! He was a really good guy....I sold Vic a GREAT Auto Corp dagger I pulled out of the weeds too.
